Sorry, we do not ship our birds.

However, if you live in the Western US, we often are able to make piggyback
arrangements with other drivers coming our way to get their bird and returning to a city near you.

MARCH, APRIL AND MAY 2023

Contact us for current pictures of our available baby cockatiels

We have one baby cockatiel weaned and eager for a new home at 9 weeks old.
It is a cinnamon gray with yellow head.  This sweetheart is extremely tame and playful.
And loves to be out of the cage for playtime with us.

We  are currently hand feeding 6 babies 3x a day.  They should be weaned and ready for new homes
about early April.  And we have another 6 that will be ready about mid to late April.
Of the 12 we are hand feeding, 5 of them have  been spoken for with deposits.

Of the available babies, you can choose from  two handsome yellow and gray pied, a normal gray male
who’s head will be yellow as he matures, a cinnamon gray with yellow head and a white faced
cinnamon pied.  In addition we have a very spunky white face gray male.
His head will be all white as he matures.

In late May we will have a few more babes available, including two white faced pied and some yellow gray tiels.

Our babies do sell fast so please be patient after you place your deposit to hold your baby.
Wait times are sometimes as long as 3-4 weeks for your pet to be fully weaned and ready for his new home.
They usually wean at 7-8 weeks of age.  We will give you progress reports and pictures during the wait time.

Due to the fast turn over of our baby birds, we cannot keep our "Birds for Sale" pictures totally up-to-date. So take a look at the pictures throughout our website, and if you see a color trait you like or if you want a particular personality trait, we are happy to choose one for you from the current babies we are hand feeding and text you a picture.  Many of our youngsters are sold (with a deposit) before they are weaned at about 7 weeks old.  If you like the pictures we text you, a deposit of $50 will hold your choice until it is weaned.

Beautiful White Face Babies
Also known as Whitehead.

This little guy just weaned himself and wanted to join the teenage babies in the big cage. He/She is ready for a new home. He is eating seed mix, veggie mix and spray millet treat and weaned from baby food. He quickly learned to perch on ladders and on fingers and loves to sit on my shoulder. His wings are trimmed and ready for a new human companion.  His  parents have since hatched some more babies similar in looks and these should be ready soon.

Silver Grey Whiteheads
Two silver grays....with whiteheads forming...Two left!  Also from whitehead parents, two silver grays, the largest  one is a gorgeous gray fading to light silver gray. The other has a lot of white on the head which will probably become more pronounced as he matures.  They have flown several times, are very smooth fliers, they love to perch on my shoulder and seem to really enjoy human contact with a very calm temperament. These two are now weaned and eating their seed and veggie mix.

Yellow & Gray Pied Male Cockateil
Yellow and Gray Pied Male Cockatiel
This yellow and gray pied youngster with orange cheeks is Spreckles, who may turn out to be the tamest of them all, because he had to be pulled from the nest early and began his hand feeding when his eyes were not even open yet.  His parents were plucking him, so first I sent him to a foster mother until he feathered out more.  He gained weight quickly from his uncertain start but as it turned out he is an eager eater.  He's sure to be a hit in your family

Pied Male bird in Missoula
Pied Male
Talking already!
This handsome little guy was a charmer as a baby (as you can see),  so his name is Charmer. Look at his picture at left at 5 weeks old and already talking on the right. He’s a striking pied dark gray on wings, with white stripes and a yellow head. He can already say “pretty, pretty bird” and will learn more words as he matures.

Gray Males
For anyone who definitely wants a male bird, I have three gray youngsters who I believe are male.  See the yellow coloring starting on their heads?  As they mature, these guys will eventually have all yellow heads and necks.  And they will have orange cheeks too.  The male cockatiels are a little more vocal than the females, but there is absolutely no difference in their friendliness toward their human companions...both males and females enjoy the company of their humans.  These gray guys are nearly ready for new homes.

We have two of these sweet normal gray guys.
Their heads will become fully yellow as they mature.

Details of what you receive with each bird purchase

All of our baby cockatiels are hand fed three times a day and guaranteed to be healthy and tame when they leave our home.  Our baby birds come with a packet of all the foods they are used to having daily.  This food packet should last about three months.  The packet includes:
  • Food packet with bird is a $30.00 value for $25.00
  • 5 pounds of our special mix of 7 seeds/grains.......Value $12.50
  • One big bag of huge spray millet (13 pieces).......Value $8.50
  • Cuttle bone.......Value $2
  • Pound of veggie mix..(recipe below).......Value $6
Equal parts cooked egg noodles, cooked rice, cooked whole wheat and small cut frozen mixed vegetables.

This food packet must go with each new bird, as it insures us that they will continue to receive the same wholesome nourishing variety after they leave our home. We are happy to share the recipe for the veggie mix as our birds love it and are weaned on it.

Our cockatiels are guaranteed to be healthy when they leave our home.  To further insure their good health, we take the precaution of medicating all our birds once a year with preventative antibiotics, a safe guard against parrot fever.  We do this annual medication based on  our avian vet's recommendation because we do have a great many cockatiels in free flight in our bird room.

It is probably not necessary for bird owners of one or two birds to medicate, unless they are frequently exposed to new birds in the home.
